Make the Most of Christmas Eve
It’s the 24th December and while we can’t promise snow, we don’t think this should stop you from enjoying a Christmas Eve of togetherness and traditions (and a few mini marshmallows thrown in for good measure).
Merry memories
Building traditions is a wonderful part of Christmas, and hanging stockings and opening a Christmas Eve box are annual events you’ll all remember.
To create a Christmas Eve box, find a suitable container and fill it with small gifts and treats that will make your little ones smile even before Santa has been. Great ideas include a new pair of pjs to wear to bed that night, a pack of their favourite sweets, a mug to have a special hot chocolate in and a soft plushie to snuggle up to. They’re not just for kids either. Everyone in the family can get involved in sharing some wholesome giving on the 24th, and it’s a great excuse to have a matching pair of pjs in our opinion.
Once the little ones have gone to bed, fill their stocking with token gifts they can open in the morning – we love little bits like lip balms, socks, and much-loved bags of chocolate coins - and then wait to see what Santa brings!
Press Play
We love a good movie night as much as the next elf, so we understand the value in getting the most out of a cosy night in. Firstly, you’ll need blankets and lots of them to make sure that everyone has full coverage and if you’re feeling extra snuggly, grab a hot water bottle or one of our microwavable hotties to keep you warm. What is movie night without a hot chocolate and snacks? Keep it classic, or spruce things up with flavourful syrups and sky-high stacks of whipped cream and sprinkles – just make sure you get a generous mugful and a have a nearby surface to pop it on so you don’t have to stray far from your cosy fort. Before pressing play, don’t forget your snacks. You could even enjoy a morning of baking festive treats as a family in preparation for movie night - just don’t forget to save something for Santa!
