We’re on a mission to create communities that feel like home and tackle loneliness among older people.

Help us raise £2 million

Together we’re raised £800,000 so far – that’s 40% of our goal. Thank you for your donations, and please keep supporting our fundraising so we can reach our target for Age UK.

How our fundraising supports Age UK

The money we raise helps provide information, advice, friendship and practical support to older people in their homes and local communities, including the following:

Home Sweet Home programme Providing 2,000 older people with practical support at home. Telephone Friendship Service Reaching out regularly with 30,000 telephone friendship calls to older people. Information & advice Ensuring 200,000 older people can get the advice they need, when they need it.Local community funds Used by local Age UKs to provide community activities and support.

How we've been helping

1.9 million older people live below the poverty line and can struggle to afford their basic necessities. Our colleagues smashed their challenge of walking 1.9 million steps in one day – and instead managed over 28 million steps to raise £25,000.

We were proud to be the first headline sponsors for Age UK’s Leeds Abbey Dash. An amazing event for runners of all levels that really helps make a difference.

We will donate 40p from selected toasties* in our Pausa Cafe Christmas range to Age UK. It’s the perfect excuse to get munching!

Every Thursday at 11am-12pm, selected stores will run a Supported Shopping hour. Our larger stores will also offer a comfy rest spot that will always be available to customers.

Our colleagues are passionate about giving back to their local community. All colleagues get a charity day, and many have chosen to support Age UK with these.

Donations and fundraising by Dunelm staff and customers for Age UK (registered charity number 1128267) will help fund national and local Age UK services to help older people at home and in communities. For more information and to get involved go to ageuk.org.uk/dunelm. *Dunelm will pay 40p of the retail price to Age UK (registered charity number 1128267) for every festive toastie sold. In England, Wales and Scotland this applies to our Ham Hock Topped Toastie, Brie & Cranberry Topped Toastie and Festive Feast Panini. In Northern Ireland this applies to our Brie & Cranberry Panini and Turkey Feast Panini. The festive toasties are available from the 8th October 2024 until the 24th of December 2024.
