Natural History Museum x Dunelm
Wetland habitats are vitally important in supporting an abundance of plants and animals. From rivers to ponds, fens to bogs, marshes to estuaries, these rich environments provide a home to many birds, fish, mammals, invertebrates, amphibians and plants, all of which thrive in these unique and complex ecosystems. In recent years, wetland areas have increasingly come under threat and have often been the casualty of human development. Through our collection with the Natural History Museum, we hope to highlight some of the wonderful freshwater and wetland species that can be found in the many wetland areas up and down the UK, with a focus on some species that have seen a severe decline and are currently under threat.
