Student Discount with Student Beans - Terms and Conditions

Privacy Notice  

• Your personal data will be held by the Promoter and used either:  

• a) only for the purpose of administering the provision of the discount in accordance with the terms and conditions relating to the promotion (“Terms and Conditions”) in which case the Terms and Conditions are the legal basis for the Promoter’s processing; or 

• b) if you choose to sign up for marketing communications from the Promoter your personal data will be held in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.  

If you do not provide your personal data, the Promoter cannot process your entry or your application for a discount   

• If you do not sign up for marketing communications from the Promoter, the Promoter will delete your personal data relating to this Promotion within 6 months after the discount has been used. 

• The Promoter will not disclose or share your personal data with any third party other than those who are engaged by the Promoter to administer the promotion, verify your student email address and fulfil the vouchers. 

• Entrants have various rights with regard to their personal data which the Promoter holds about them:   

• 0) a right to request a copy of that data; 

• 1) a right to require that the Promoter erases your data (but note that this will automatically remove your entry from the promotion and will mean that you cannot receive the voucher);  

• 2) a right to amend your data; and 

• 3) the right to ask us to port (transfer) your data directly to you or another organisation.  

To exercise any of these rights, please write to  DU.DataRequest@dunelm.com. You will need to make your request in writing, specifying the action that you want the Promoter to take and enclose proof of your identity. 

• If you believe that the Promoter is not treating your personal data in accordance with the law, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. You can find more details at their website https://ico.org.uk/. 

• In order to participate in this offer, it is a requirement that you register for an account with Student Beans, a third party student discount provider. For information on how Student Beans will use your personal data please see their Privacy Policy at https://accounts.studentbeans.com/uk/info/privacy.  

Eligibility 

• This promotion is open to all persons:  

• a) aged 16 or over;  

• b) resident in the United Kingdom; and 

• c) have verified their student status by registering for a Student Beans account if purchasing online, or providing a valid student ID if purchasing in store.

• For online purchases, the Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants including via its third party verification partner, Student Beans. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose may be withheld until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification. 

Offer 

• Eligible participants will receive 10% off online or in store when they spend £40 or more on full priced items. 

How to Redeem

• To participate in and redeem the offer IN STORE customers must be have registered with Student Beans, must be present in store and show their valid and active Student Beans account or app details to the store till operative to confirm they are registered with Student Beans or show another form of valid student identification such as Totum, NUS or UCAS student verification which must be valid, dated and include a photo of the individual student claiming the discount.  

• To participate in and redeem the offer ONLINE at Dunelm.com, the customer must register with Student Beans. In order to do so you must enter a valid student email address which will be verified using a third party verification system (provided by Student Beans). Once verified and registered, you will instantly receive a unique code (Code) for use at checkout online. This Code may only be redeemed before the end of the Offer Period.  

• This 10% offer is available online from Tuesday 23rd July 2024 to Saturday 12th October 2024 inclusive, and instore from Tuesday 23rd July 2024 to Tuesday 17th September 2024 inclusive (Offer Period). 

• Claims not complying with these terms and conditions will be invalid. 

Exclusions

• The discount offered may not be exchanged for cash and is non-transferable, non-negotiable and non-refundable. Purchases of Made to Measure products, products on sale, gift cards and any Pausa café items are excluded from this offer and promotional events. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or deal, including with colleague discount, on Mobile Point of Sale orders (i.e. orders placed with the assistance of a Dunelm colleague in store) and cashback claims through any Promoter affiliate publishers. Upon validation, where a Code has been used in conjunction with cashback, cashback will be denied. This will not impact your transaction or use of the Code. 

General

• The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion and / or revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and, by continuing to take part in the promotion subsequent to any revision, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended terms.  

• The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, reject claims deemed to be non-compliant with these terms and conditions or if it has any reason to believe that efforts have been made to distort the spirit of the promotion. Photocopied, defaced, damaged or copied Student Cards will not be accepted. The Promoter’s decision as to any aspect of this promotion is final. No correspondence will be entered into.  

• Redemption of the offer is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

• If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid. 

• This promotion and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
